July 7th Barbecue
The weather held out ok for the BBQ but due to gathering storm clouds the Microlites were unable to fly. The BBQ was however a success thanks to Graham, Sylvia, Paula and Elizabeth who cooked and served some excellent food.

August 1st SSB field day site preparation. Several members met at Garys field at Shatterford, 19.30. CTU provided a home brew aerial which loaded ok via auto atu so it was decided to use this setup. An operating schedule was sorted and it was agreed to meet on Sat. the 2nd. at 11:30

Sept 2nd/3rd SSB field day weekend
Thanks to all helpers and operators for a good weekend. The provisional results show an increase in the score of 29% over last year. The best dx was japan azores on 20m

Sept 5th Agm
A well attended meeting saw a new secretary elected, Mike Ferriday G1NQW and Barry Hitchins, G4CTU elected to the committee

Oct 3rd Annual surplus sale
A well attended meeting which raised more than last year for club funds. Thanks to all who donated sales to the club.

Nov 7th Severn Rescue An interesting talk about the work, radio comms and training of Severn Rescue, which was well received by all present

Dec 5th Christmas dinner
At the Colliers Arms, Clows Top. A very good meal, good company, good conversation and praised by all 20 members and XYLs present. The restaurant was a little on the warm side but a good night was had by all. Thanks to Mike, G1NQW for the organisation.
