Mike, G1NQW, kicked off a discussion about the changes in the new licence followed by Roger, G4OBA with a talk on
wind and solar power featuring his own home setup.
Tony, G1OZB, showed a short video of old GPO vehicles from the archives

A talk by G1NQW on Spectrum analysis was well received, with hands on demonstrations afterwards. Thanks to Mike, G1NQW and
Tony, G4ALT for bringing along their analysers for the demos
May 2007
A green light exercise was held where mobiles were organised by control at the Chainwire club to locate a green light
situated somewhere in the local area. The light was a rotating beacon manned by G8WOX and was switched on for 5 mins
every 15. The light was eventually found by G4SPZ. Everyone then retired to the club for a drink and a natter.
June 5th.
A talk about trekking in the Himalayas, postponed from May was very well received. This was an informal talk by a
colleague of G8WOX backed by a slideshow
July 3rd.
The annual Barbecue was again a success, thanks to Barry G4CTU and Elizabeth who provided a super BBQ followed by
no less than 3 gateaux! A small shower towards the end did not stop the members enjoyment. The overcast weather meant
however that the microlites could not fly in.
August 7th.
Thanks to all who attended at Gary's field to test equipment for SSB field day. Thanks to Barry for the portable BBQ.
SSB Field day.
Another good weekend, a little short on operators again so thanks to those who attended, especially the night crew and thanks
to Gary for the use of the field.
Contacts were down on last years but other clubs reported the same due to conditions.
September 4th.
AGM. As G8WOX was retiring a new chairman was elected, M0UCK taking on the role. the rest of the committee was
re-elected as last years. It was decided to hold an EGM at the next meeting in October as there was not 75% of
the membership present to vote on a change to the constitution. It will be held before the Surplus sale on Oct. 2nd.

The Surplus sale followed and was a great success with a lot of items donated by G3GGL and also Karter electronics.

Held at Greens restaurant at Wharton Park golf club, a very good meal and a pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
